Rami et ramuli robusti et rigidi brevissime pilosi vel glabri ferrugineinigri, internodiis 1-2 cm longis; ramuli abbreviati 0.5-1(-2) cm longi vaginis foliorum persistentibus durescentibus obtecti. Folia 3-foliolata; vagina 1.5-2.5 mm longa amplectens, marginibus connatis, stipulis ovato-triangularibus mucronatis ciliatis; petiolus 0.5-1 mm longus; foliola 1-1.8 cm longa 1.5-2.5 mm lata coriacea lanceolata-lineari-lanceolata stricta vel saepissime falcata integerrima acuta-subacuta glabra, Flores [male] sessiles; bracteolae c. 3 mm longae amplectentes carinatae acutae brevissime ciliolatae; sepala 3 ovata-obovata 4-5 mm longa mucronata glabra: stamina c. 25, antheris 1-1.2 mm longis luteis, filamentis 4-6 mm longis. Flores [female] sessiles; bracteolae 2.5-3 mm longae amplectentes excavatae acutae ciliolatae saepe nervo mediano brevissime pilosae; receptaculum (immaturum!) 3 mm longum ovoideum 6-costatum-alato-costatum glabrum; sepala 3 lanceolata 2.5-3 mm longa acuta rigida glabra; stigma e receptaculo c. 4 mm prominens densum rubruni.
