Characteristics

Frutex decumbens vel erectus. Rami et ramuli glabri vel pilosi internodiis 1-2 cm longis praediti; ramuli abbreviati ad 1(-2) cm longi. Folia simplicia; vagina 2-4 mm longa amplectens glabra vel parce pilosa ciliata, stipulis 3-5 mm longis anguste triangularibus acuminatis; lamina valde variabilis 1-4 cm longa 1-7 mm lata lineari-lanceolata-lanceolata-obovata reflexa et integerrima vel paucidentata vel plana et serrata glabra vel raro utrinque parce pilosa ± coriacea. Flores [male] sessiles; bracteolae 3-4 mm longae amplectentes acutae, nervo mediano piloso, ciliatae; sepala 3 oblonga 3-3.5 mm longa acuta, apice saepe reflexo, glabra; stamina 15, antheris 0.5 filamentis c. 5 mm longis. Flores [female] sessiles; bracteolae ut in [male]; receptaculum ovoideum-ovoideo-oblongum 3 mm longum 1.3-1.4 mm crassum laeve glabrum; sepala 3, 1-3 mm longa ovata-obovata apiculata glabra; stigma e receptaculo 2.5-3.5 mm prominens ramosum rubrum.
