Characteristics

Frutex 1-2 m decumbens-adscendens vel erectus. Rami vaginis foliorum inclusi ferruginei-sanguinei glabri. Folia simplicia; vagina amplectens 3-6 cm longa foliacea multinervis, marginibus ad basin 0.5-1 cm connatis, stipulis anguste triangularibus 4-10 mm longis acutis; lamina lineari-lanceolata 5-15 cm longa 3-6 mm lata plana apicem versus sensim angustata acuta viridis opaca paralleli-nervosa, marginibus minutissime setaceo-serratis. Flores [male] pedicellati, pedicellis c. 1 mm longis; bracteolae 3-4 mm longae scariosae acutae glabrae; sepala 3 lineari-lanceolata 8-14 mm longa 1.5-2 mm lata foliacea viridia-fusco-viridia multinervosa saepe marginibus cohaerentia glabra; stamina c. 30, antheris 0.8-1 mm, filamentis 4-6 mm longis. Flores [female] brevissime pedicellati; bracteolae ut in [male]; receptaculum 4-5 mm longum 1.5-2 mm crassum oblongum fusco-viride leviter sulcatum; sepala 2-2.5 mm longa 0.4-0.7 mm lata viridia glabra acuta.
