Characteristics

Frutex ramosissimus 0.25-1 m altus (e Diels). Rami et ramuli primo cinereo-pilosi demum glabrescentes; ramuli abbreviati 1-3 mm longi densissime foliati. Folia 3-foliolata; vagina 0.5-1 mm longa amplectens extus cinereo-pilosa, stipulis triangularibus 0.3-0.4 mm longis; foliola 2-3 mm longa 1-2 mm lata oblonga-ovata obtusiuscula integerrima utrinque dense cinereo-villosa. Flores [male] sessiles; bracteolae c. 2.5 mm longae scariosae acuminatae ciliatae; sepala 4 c. 3 mm longa dimidia parte cohaerentia acuta extus sub apice pilosa; stamina 8, antheris fusco-violaceis 0.6-0.8 mm, filamentis 4-5 mm longis. Flores [female] sessiles; bracteolae ut in [male]; receptaculum (immaturum!) 1.3 mm longum obovoideum laeve glabrum; sepala 4 dimidia parte cohaerentia extus sub apice pilosa acuta; stigmata 2 ramosa rubiginosa.
