Characteristics

Frutex erectus. Rami robusti erecto-patentes in partibus junioribus densissime ferrugineo-arrecto-pilosi paulatim glabrescentes et cortice rutilanti. Folia simplicia; vagina 5-8 mm longa amplectens scariosa densissime ferrugineo-pilosa, pilis arrectis 4-5 mm longis, stipulis triangularibus 3-5 mm longis cuspidatis dense pilosis; lamina 3-5 cm longa 2-3 cm lata ovata basi cordata margine triangulari-cuspidato-dentata coriacea supra viridis glabra vel parce pilosa subtus breviter canescenti-tomentosa. Flores in fasciculis densis axillaribus insidentes; flores [male] 1-1.5 mm pedicellati; bracteolae c. 7 mm longae scariosae lanceolatae acutae extus longe pilosae; sepala 3 linguiformia 7-8 mm longa 3 mm lata subacuta basin versus sensim angustata extus dense canescenti-pilosa; stamina c. 20, antheris 0.7-1 mm, filamentis 10-12 mm longis. Flores [female] brevissime pedicellati; bracteolae fere ut in [male]; receptaculum ovoideum 2.5-3 mm longum 1.5-1.8 mm crassum apice angustatum obtusum glabrum obscure nervosum; sepala ignota.
