Characteristics

Frutex divaricatus 1-2-pedalis (e Harvey, 1. C.). Rami et ramuli canescenti-villosi debiles; ramuli abbreviati plerumque 3-5 mm longi interdum in ramos elongatos ad 40 mm longos mutati. Folia 3-foliolata; vagina amplectens 2-3 mm longa extus canescenti-villosa ciliata stipulis 0.7-1 mm longis subacutis praedita; foliola 5-12 mm longa 0.5-1.5 mm lata linearia subobtusa, marginibus late revolutis, utrinque patentim canescenti-villosa. Flores [male] sessiles; bracteolae 3-4 mm longae amplectentes acutae scariosae ciliatae nervo mediano pilosae; sepala 3 ovato-oblonga 6-7 mm longa 3 mm lata acuta tenuia extus ± dense pilose; stamina c. 20, antheris 1-1.4 mm, filamentis 7-10 mm longis. Flores [female] sessiles; bracteolae fere ut in [male]; receptaculum 3-3.5 mm longum obovoideum basi sensim angustatum costatum, costis exiguis, murinum opacum glabrum; achenium ad 2.5 mm longum oblongum; sepala 3 persistentia 2-2.3 mm longa 0.4 mm lata subacuta erecta extus sub apice dense canescenti-pilosa.
