Characteristics

Frutex ramosus. Rami et ramuli internodiis c. 5 mm longis instructi, cortice dense verruculosa; ramuli abbreviati 2-5 mm longi plerumque 5-8-foliati. Folia 3-foliata; vagina amplectens 1-1.8 mm longa glabra, stipulis c. 1 mm longis acuminatis; foliola 4-10 mm longa 0.6-1 mm crassa subacuta vel mucronulata in omnibus partibus verruculosa supra subplana subtus convexa, marginibus scabridis. Flores [male] sessiles-brevissime pedicellati; bracteolae 3-4 mm longae carinatae scariosae acutae glabrae; sepala 3 c. 6 mm longa ovata mucronulata 5-7-nervosa glabra; stamina c. 20, antheris 1 mm, filamentis 4-6 mm longis. Flores [female] sessiles; bracteolae 3 mm longae ceterum ut in [male]; receptaculum ad 5 mm longum et 2.5 mm crassum ovoideum basi angustatum, costis 6 rarissime 8 obtusis, fuscescenti-viride glabrum; achenium ad 4 mm longum oblongum; sepala 3 vel raro 4, 1.5-2 mm longa acuta persistentia glabra; stigma e receptaculo 3-4 mm prominens ramosum rubiginosum.
