Frutex ad 1.2 m altus ramosissimus. Rami et ramuli cortice primo dense murino-pilosulo deinde glabro internodiis 3-6 mm longis instructi; ramuli abbreviati ad 1 cm longi densissime foliati. Folia 3-foliolata; vagina amplectens 1-1.5 mm longa extus dense murino-pilosa, stipulis subulatis 1-1.5 mm longis; foliola 5-10(-13) mm longa 0.4-0.8 mm crassa linearia cuspidata saepe ± curvata, marginibus aequaliter et minutissime denticulatis, supra plana-concavula subtus rotundato-carinata. Flores [male] pedicellis 1-1.5 mm longis praediti; bracteolae c. 1 mm longae acutae glabrae; sepala 3 vel 4 ovata 3.5-4 mm longa acuta glabra trinervia; stamina 3 vel 4, antheris 1.2-1.5 mm, filamentis c. 4 mm longis. Flores [female] sessiles; bracteolae 2.5-4 mm longae amplectentes scariosae acuminatae glabrae; receptaculum 3-5(-6) mm longum oblique obovoideo-oblongum, costis 12-16 conspicuis, fulvo-olivaceum nitidulum glabrum; sepala 3 vel 4, 2-3 mm longa lineari-triangularia cuspidata erecta glabra; achenium ad 4(-5) mm longum; stigma e receptaculo ad 6 mm prominens valde ramosum fuscum.

Leaves trifoliolate; leaflets linear, curved, pungent, 5-10 mm long, margins minutely toothed.
