Characteristics

Fruticulus c. 3-pedalis (e Schlechter) erectus. Rami et ramuli rubiginosi glabri nitiduli, cortice lamuloso; ramuli abbreviati 2-15 mm longi vaginis foliorum inclusi. Folia simplicia; vagina 0.6-0.8 mm longa amplectens scariosa rubiginosa glabra nitidula, stipulis c. 1 mm longis acutis; lamina 4-10 mm longa 1-1.2 mm crassa subcylindrica supra canaliculata pungenti-mucronata nitida glabra. Flores [male] sessiles vel brevissime pedicellati; bracteolae 2-3 mm longae scariosae glabrae; sepala 3 c. 5 mm longa 3 mm lata ovata acuta glabra nitidula; stamina 6, antheris ignotis. Flores [female] brevissime pedicellati, bracteolis ut in [male]; receptaculum c. 6 mm longum 1-1.5 mm diam. leviter arcuatum 6-angulare rubiginosum glabrum nitidulum; sepala 3 persistentia 0.8-1 mm longa triangularia erecta subacuta glabra.
