Leaves simple, pungent, vegetative leaves oblong-lanceolate, channelled, sparsely hairy, 10-12 mm long, fertile leaves shorter, tridentate, densely hairy. Male flowers: pedicel 1-2 mm long, stamens ± 12; female flowers: receptacle 3-4 mm long, ovoid, brownish, sulcate.
