Characteristics

Frutex decumbens-adscendens ad 1 m altus. Rami et ramuli murini-fusci opaci-nitiduli glabri in partibus junioribus laminiferi vaginis persistentibus foliorum inclusi. Folia simplicia; vagina amplectens 2.5-3.5 mm longa ferruginea-nibiginosa in foliis junioribus nitidula tricostata glabra stipulis 4-5 mm longis subuliformibus rigidis praedita; lamina lanceolata-oblongo-lanceolata 10-14 mm longa 3-5 mm lata pungenti-mucronata integerrima vel utroque latere sub apice dente parvo munita coriacea supra nitidula obscure nervosa subtus opaca, nervibus prominentibus, glabra. Flores [male] pedicello c. 2 mm longo instructi; bracteolae lineares-lineari-lanceolatae 5-6 mm longae, nervo medio pilosulo, margine pellucido; sepala oblongo-lanceolata 6-8 mm longa 3-3.5 mm lata acuta glabra obscure nervosa; stamina c. 20, antheris rubiginosis-rubris 1-1.5 mm, filamentis 8-9 mm longis. Flores [female] sessiles-brevissime pedicellati; bracteolae 4-5 mm longae carinatae, nervo medio pilosulo; receptaculum 4-6 mm longum ovoideum plerumque 12-costatum fuscum glabrum; sepala 3 erecta 1.5-2 mm longa triangularia acuta.
