Characteristics

Male flowers: pedicels c. 1.5–2 mm long; sepals 2 × 1 mm, obovate-oblanceolate, rounded, greenish-yellow, each with a 2–3-lobed gland towards the base and 1 or 2 ± spherical glands at the base; petals 1.5 × 1 mm, broadly spathulate, cream-coloured, with a pair of spherical glands at the base; staminal column 1 mm high, free filaments 0.5 mm long, anthers 0.5 mm long, white; pistillode 0.5 mm high, cylindric, shallowly 3-lobed at the apex.

Leaves crowded towards the tips of the branches, imbricate; blades 0.8–2.2 × 0.4–1 cm, oblanceolate-oblong, rounded to emarginate at the apex, rounded to very shallowly cordate at the base, chartaceous to subcoriaceous, pellucid-punctate and pusticulate; margin entire and cartilaginous; lateral nerves in c. 3 pairs, ascending, indistinct.
