Characteristics

Male flowers: pedicels 1.5 mm long, jointed; sepals 2 × 1.3 mm, elliptic-ovate, rounded, each with 3 pale clavate glands below the middle and c. 4 dark spherical glands at the base, yellowish-green; petals 1.5 × 1 mm, obtrullate-spathulate, obtuse, each with c. 5 dark spherical glands at the base; staminal column 1 mm high, free filaments 0.5 mm long, anthers c. 0.5 mm long; pistillode 0.75 mm high, cylindric, slightly expanded at the apex.

Leaves sessile; leaf blades 1–4.5 × 0.7–2.5 cm, those of the lateral shoots much smaller than those of the main stem, elliptic-oblong, obtuse or rounded at the apex, cordate, slightly revolute on the margin, chartaceous, pellucid-punctate, pale yellow, drying brownish; lateral nerves in c. 6 pairs, not prominent.
Male fascicles several-flowered; bracts imbricate, 0.5 × 0.75 mm, broadly triangular-ovate, acuminate, sparingly pubescent.
