Characteristics

Shrub to 3 m high. Leaves: petiole 13–95 mm long; lamina cuneate-obovate, 110–220 mm long, 38–80 mm wide; base cordate, retuse; margins entire or weakly crenulate; tip acute; venation comprising 15–19 lateral veins per side of midrib and weakly visible tertiary reticulate veins. Male flowers c. 3.5 mm long, 4 mm diam.; pedicels c. 8 mm long; sepals ovate, 2.5–2.6 mm long; petals rounded-cordate, c. 1 mm long, 1 mm wide; stamens 16–26. Female flowers 2.5–3 mm long, 1.6–5 mm diam.; pedicels 3–10 mm long; sepals ovate, 0.5–0.6 mm long; ovary pubescent. Fruit and seeds not seen.
