Characteristics

Autoicous, yellowish green. Stem richly branched, 35 µ in diameter. Lobe almost circular, apex obtuse, margin slightly crenulate by protruding cells. Lobule 3/4 as long, broadly elliptic, apical tooth two cells long. Cells in the centre of the leaf 18 x 20 µ, walls thin, no trigones. Female organs with 1-2 innovations. Female bracts lingulate, apex obtuse. Perianth pyriform, with 5 keels. Spores oval, 35-50 µ, pluricellular, verrucose. Gemma as in other species of the genus.
