Characteristics

Leaves about 0.8-0.6 mm. Cells in centre about 18 x 30 µ, usually 24 µ, in the base 18-24 x 24-16 µ, trigones and intermediar thickenings distinct. Hyaline border of cells around the apex and along the antical margin of the lobes 12-50 x 30-75 µ margin here rather deeply fimbriate. Lobule about 2/5 the length of the lobe, arched, forming a shallow sinus with the ventral margin of the lobe, apex of lobule subacute, a single-celled tooth at the junction with the free margin, hyaline papilla in inner face of the apical tooth at the proximal base.
