Leaf-lamina 2·4–10 × 0·8–2·7 cm., oblong to oblong-lanceolate, rounded or acute at the apex, margin coarsely serrate or repand or finely serrate, rounded or broadly cuneate at the base, thick textured, densely grey-green-or yellowish-tomentose on both surfaces, nerves impressed above, somewhat prominent below; petiole up to 1·3 cm. long, greyish-or yellowish-tomentose; stipules up to 5 mm. long, subulate, tomentose on the back.

Small shrub, 2.5 m high. Bracts up to 8 mm long. Nerves on leaves conspicuously raised below. Capsule narrowly ovoid to linear-cylindrical, densely clothed with soft, stellately hairy bristles. Flowers yellow.
