Characteristics

Leaf cordate, 10–20 × 5–10 mm, dark green above with prominent silvery white veins, reddish beneath. Flower held well above leaf on stalk c. 5 mm long, strongly nodding, 8–10 × 5–6 mm, reddish purple. Dorsal sepal elliptical when flattened, 12–15 × 6–8 mm, strongly incurved in side view, much longer than labellum, blunt with short point. Lateral sepals c. 1.2 mm long. Petals c. 0.7 mm long. Labellum whitish towards apex, mostly hidden by dorsal sepal, thickened; floral tube c. 4 mm long; margins incurved and overlapping, smooth; labellum lamina oblong in front view, c. 3.5 × 2.5 mm. Spurs c. 2 mm long, tapered. Column c. 2.5 mm long.
