Characteristics

Leaf flat, ovate-acuminate, to 40 × 20 mm, light green above with prominent reddish veins, silvery beneath, thin-textured, margins wavy, apex acuminate. Flower erect, c. 20 × 20 mm, translucent with red stripes. dorsal sepal ovate with long acuminate tip, to 40 × 2.5 mm, curved forwards over labellum. Lateral sepals to 60 mm long, erect above dorsal sepal. Petals to 40 mm long, spreading horizontally. Labellum striped, base tubular then expanded and deflexed; boss inconspicuous; margins straight or fringed with a few small teeth; apex with a short tail.
