Characteristics

Leaf cordate to round, 15–30 × 15–30 mm, green above, silvery green beneath. Flower erect, 12–15 × 11– 13 mm, reddish purple with greenish or translucent areas. Dorsal sepal oblong, 12–16 × 5–7 mm, mostly translucent green, just extending over labellum tube. Lateral sepals c. 5 × 1 mm. Petals c. 3 × 0.8 mm. Labellum lamina almost circular, 13–15 × 11–13 mm; basal tube 4–5 mm long, auricles hidden by labellum; boss very inconspicuous, flat, greenish white; labellum margins spreading, with numerous short, coarse teeth. Auricles with a prominent opening.
