Characteristics

Scapose annuals or short-lived perennials to c. 10 cm high, stoloniferous, glabrous. Rosette leaves to c. 4 cm long, 1-pinnatisect, minutely glandular. Capitulum 3–7 mm diam.; peduncle to 5 cm long, 1–3 mm wide (pressed specimens), not obconical distally at maturity; involucral bracts numerous; outer bracts broadly oblong or ovate, 2–3 mm long, rounded apically. Marginal florets numerous, 3-or 4-seriate, sessile. Disc florets few, functionally male, sessile; corolla c. 1.0 mm long; limb yellow-green. Achenes of marginal florets 1.5–2 mm long; faces ±obovate, glabrous or papillose; wings fleshy, nearly as broad as body.
