Characteristics

Softly hairy annual, up to 150 mm tall. Leaves in a crowded basal tuft, clasping at base, pinnatipartite above middle, lobes few, linear, softly villous. Flowerheads discoid, solitary on slender, naked peduncles; involucral bracts glabrous, widely membrane-edged; all florets bisexual, yellow or white. Cypselas narrowly obovate, with a narrow, white margin; pappus absent.
