Leaves sparse, alternate, scarcely half-clasping at base, lowest petiolate, upper subsessile; pinnatipartite, lobes broadly linear, mucronate. Flowerheads disciform, small, solitary on slender, naked peduncles; outer female florets in 1 row, corolla absent; disc florets bisexual, pale yellow to white. Cypselas of outer female florets winged, of disc florets turbinate; pappus absent.
