Brittle-stemmed shrublet with woody stems leafless below, 0.3-1 m tall. Leaves alternate or uppermost opposite, fusiform, ascending, (20-)30-80 x 2-3 mm. Flowerheads mostly few to several in lax, pedunculate corymbs, radiate, yellow; involucre cup-shaped, 5-8 mm diam., bracts 7-9, 4-7 x 1.5-2 mm. Cypselas ± 2 mm long, appressed-hairy; pappus ± 3 mm long.
