Tuberous-rooted perennial with globular tuber and erect flowering stems, up to 0.2 m tall and arching, stoloniferous vegetative stems that develop tubers at tips where they touch the ground. Leaves scattered on vegetative shoots, secund, cylindrical-fusiform, mostly 15-30 x 1-2 mm. Flowerheads few in lax corymbs on sparsely leafy peduncles, radiate, yellow; involucre cup-shaped, ±8 mm diam., bracts 8-10, 6-8 x 1.5-2 mm. Cypselas 2.5 mm long, appressed-hairy; pappus ±4 mm long.
