Perennial, erect, succulent herb, 200(-380) mm high. Stems scape-like. Leaves mainly in basal rosette, spathulate or obovate, obtuse, fleshy, veins inconspicuous, broadly petiolate. Flowers several, up to 15 per scape, racemose. Corolla tubular, bilabiate, upper lip hood-like, sometimes upper one white, lower one pink or red, or all lobes pink to dark purplish red with 2 yellow spots. Anthers 4, hairy. Flowering time Nov.-Feb.
