Characteristics

Small, erect herb, up to 35 mm tall. Leaves opposite, oblong, 2-5 x 0.5-1.5 mm. Flower with upper lip purple without, sordid-yellow within, 3 lower lobes sordid-yellow on both surfaces, but darker and with some purple without, throat purple-striped without, greenish yellow within, with bright yellow patch surrounded by purple just above insertion of stamens.
