Bulb 2.5–10 cm. in diameter, without or with a very short neck.. Leaves slightly to distinctly petiolate, thin; blade bright green, lanceolate to oblanceolate, 20–45 cm. long, 4–6 cm. wide, acute with a distinct longitudinal dorsal midrib and up to 30 discrete parallel nerves connected by distinct transverse nerves, glabrous to slightly scabrous along the margin, often undulate.. Scape 25–50 cm.. Spathe-valves green, usually erect at anthesis.. Flowers 2–12, sweetly scented, sessile or subsessile.. Perianth-tube green, slightly curved, 10–20 cm. long; segments pure white or with pale green midrib on the back, oblong to obovate, 7–10 cm. long, 2–4 cm. broad, the inner ones widest, all spreading widely, at anthesis with the apical part reflexed.. Filaments white, declinate, 6–8 cm. long; anthers black, curved, ± 1 cm. long.. Style white.. Fruit green, ellipsoid, 3–4 cm. long.. Seeds green, smooth, but without water-repellent membrane, 1–2 cm. in diameter, very irregular in shape.
