Characteristics

Annual herb, ± 20-180 mm tall, with acute, retrorse hairs up to 0.2 mm long. Leaves elliptic, tapering to a petiolar part, entire or with 1 or 2 pairs of teeth. Flowers in many heads arranged in panicles, 5-lobed, corolla tube 2.8-4 mm long, white sometimes tinged mauve, with a yellow to orange patch at base of upper lip.
