Racemes (3)15–40 cm long, subdensely many-flowered, with other flowers developing in the axils below, and sometimes with numerous short flowering branches; bracts (1)3–5 mm long, linear-lanceolate; pedicel 5–7 mm long, with small bracteoles.

Standard elliptic-obovate, yellow, often lined to flushed reddish, glabrous to medially pubescent outside; wings a little shorter than the keel; keel 1.1–1.3 cm long, angular, with a long narrow twisted beak curved inwards at the tip.
Leaves mostly 3-foliolate, upper ones 1-foliolate; leaflets 12–35 × 3–8 mm, linear-oblanceolate to oblong-oblanceolate, obtuse or rounded to the apiculate tip, appressed pubescent beneath; petiole 7–20 mm long; stipules 0.
Calyx 4–7 mm long, usually glabrous except on the lobe margins, occasionally strigose-pubescent with brown-based hairs; upper lobes narrowly triangular, 2–3 times as long as the tube.
Strictly erect annual to 90 cm, sparsely branched below the flowering part, strigose-pubescent to pilose.
Young pod appressed pubescent, (2)6–8-ovulate.
