Racemes 8–20 cm long, laxly 10–30-flowered, with other flowers on shorter racemes or in the axils below; bracts 1.5–2.5 mm long, linear-subulate to linear-lanceolate; pedicel 4–7 mm long, with setaceous bracteoles.

Standard broadly elliptic, yellow, later flushed reddish, silvery tomentellous outside; wings a little shorter than the keel; keel 1–1.2 cm long, angular, with a long narrow twisted beak hooked inwards at the tip.
Leaves mostly 3-foliolate, upper ones 1-foliolate; leaflets 10–20 × 0.7–2 mm, linear-oblanceolate, pubescent beneath; petiole 2–4 mm long; stipules 0.
Calyx 3.5–4 mm long, densely covered with fine irregularly arranged hairs; upper lobes triangular, 1.5–2.5 times as long as the tube.
Erect annual 0.8–1.5 m tall, developing numerous slender flowering branches above, densely silvery appressed pubescent.
Pod sessile, 5–7 × 4–5 mm, shortly ovoid-ellipsoid, densely pubescent, 10–12-seeded.
