Leaves 3-5-foliolate; leaflets linear-lanceolate to lanceolate, mostly 2.5-5.5 x 0.4-1.6 cm, glabrescent above, pilose beneath; petiole shorter to ± as long as the leaf-lets. Stipules linear-caudate, 8-17 mm long. Racemes lax, 5-12(-l 6)-flowered; bracts linear-lanceolate, sometimes caudate, 3-8 mm long; bracteoles curved-ascending from just below the calyx, lanceolate, ± subfalcate, 5-8 mm long. Calyx accrescent, 1.5-2.2 cm long, pilose; upper lobes oblong-lanceolate, 2-3 times as long as the tube. Standard subcircular or obovate, white, sometimes tinged yellow or mauve, veined brown or dark blue, subglabrous to pubescent outside; wings as long as the keel; keel abruptly rounded ± at right-angles in the lower third, with a well-developed straight beak, 1.5-1.8 cm long, lanate-pubescent along the upper edge. Legume broadly oblong-clavate, subsessile, (3.5-)4-5.5 cm long, pilose. Seeds oblique-cordiform, ±4 mm long, rugulose, brown.
