Inflorescences sessile dense racemes or heads, crowded at the top of the shoots surrounded by the larger spreading leaves, many-flowered; bracts filiform, 1–2 mm. long; bracteoles obscure.. Calyx 3–4 mm. long, with the tube protracted on the lower side, densely hairy; upper lobes subulate-triangular, ± twice as long as the tube..
