Characteristics

Leaves very shortly petiolate, mostly 3-foliolate but uppermost generally 1-foliolate; leaflets 3–5 × 1.5–2.6 cm, elliptic, silky tomentose beneath; stipules 3–4 mm long, subulate to linear-lanceolate.

Racemes curved-ascending, terminal and on short lateral branches bearing reduced foliage, laxly 4–8-flowered; bracts 4–7 mm long, linear or linear-lanceolate; bracteoles inserted on pedicel, filiform.
Standard subcircular, bright yellow, glabrous outside; wings a little shorter than the keel; keel 12–14 mm long, semicircular with a short slightly incurved beak.
Calyx 7–8 mm long, coarsely tomentose; lobes narrowly triangular, longer than the tube.
Ovary long-stipitate, hairy especially along the upper and lower sides, c. 12-ovulate.
Prostrate herb with well-branched tomentose stems.
