Racemes usually with a number of laxly to rather closely arranged flowers; bracts usually less than 2 mm long (longer in var. cacondensis), linear to linear-lanceolate; bracteoles on the pedicel, minute.
Standard broadly elliptic, yellow, glabrous or with a few hairs near the apex outside; wings a little shorter than the keel; keel 6–8 mm long, strongly rounded, crested behind the short beak.
Erect virgate or well-branched perennial herb or small shrub up to 1 m tall; branches densely appressed to spreading pubescent.
Calyx 4–6 mm long, subglabrous to pubescent; lobes longer than the tube, narrowly triangular.
Pod 7–9 mm long, shortly stipitate, subglobose to subcylindrical, densely pilose, 2–6-seeded.
Mature seeds not seen.
