Standard obovate, yellow marked brown, ± densely or at least extensively pubescent outside; wings nearly as long as the keel; keel (5)5.5–6.5 mm long, angular, with a narrow twisted beak incurved at the tip.

Erect branching annual 15–40 cm tall; branches slender, ascending, often mostly from near the base of the plant, densely pubescent with appressed to slightly spreading hairs at first, somewhat glabrescent.
Leaves mostly 3-foliolate, uppermost occasionally 1-foliolate; leaflets 8–20 × 2–7 mm, oblanceolate to elliptic-oblanceolate, pubescent on both surfaces; petiole 4–10 mm long; stipules 0.
Racemes 4–13 cm long, subdense at top, lax below, 10–30-flowered, developing other flowers in the axils below; bracts 2–3 mm long, linear, subequalling mature pedicels; bracteoles 0.
Calyx 4–5 mm long, densely pubescent; upper lobes narrowly triangular, 2–3 times as long as the tube.
Seeds 2.5 mm long, oblique-cordiform, smooth, arillate.
