Characteristics

Small erect virgate shrub, up to 60 cm tall, with glaucous sparsely puberulous branches. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets linear to narrowly elliptic, 0.8-1.5 x 0.1-0.2 cm, puberulous beneath; petiole much exceeding the leaflets, up to 3-4 cm long. Stipules absent. Racemes lax, ±6-12-flowered; bracts linear, to 2 mm long, deciduous; bracteoles very small. Calyx 5-6 mm long, minutely puberulous; lobes acuminately triangular, ± as long as the tube. Standard elliptic, yellow (drying blackish), glabrous outside; wings 0.7-0.8 times as long as the keel; keel rounded about the middle with a short subacute beak, 1.1-1.2 cm long. Legume stipitate, oblong-clavate, ±2.5 cm long, puberulous.
