Erect annual, up to 4 dm. tall, developing a number of slender curved ascending branches from near the base and ultimately many short practically leafless flowering branches at the top.. Stem slender, appressed pubescent.. Leaves mostly 3-foliolate, but with the uppermost often 1-foliolate; leaflets linear-oblanceolate to oblanceolate-oblong, up to 8–15 mm. long, 1·5–4 mm. wide, mostly rounded or truncate at the apex, glabrous above, appressed pubescent beneath; petiole up to 3–4 mm. long.. Stipules absent.. Racemes sessile or shortly pedunculate, subumbelliform, up to 1–2 cm. long, ± 10–20-flowered; bracts linear, 1·5–2 mm. long, shorter than the pedicel; bracteoles inserted on the pedicel, minute.. Calyx 3·5–4 mm. long, with the tube protracted on the lower side, densely appressed pubescent with dark brown hairs drying black; upper lobes narrowly attenuate-triangular, longer than the tube.. Standard obovate, yellow, veined dark green and rather densely dark brown pubescent outside; wings ± as long as the keel; keel bent at right-angles in the lower third, with a narrow twisted beak, slightly incurved at the tip, 7–8 mm. long.. Pod subsessile, ovoid-globose, ± 4–5 mm. long, 3 mm. across, pubescent with dark appressed hairs, 2-seeded.. Mature seeds unknown.
