Characteristics

Standard elliptic to oblong-obovate, yellow, usually lined brown, glabrous to thinly puberulous on the upper part outside; wings nearly as long as the keel; keel 6–7 mm long, angular, with a straight narrow twisted beak.

Leaves mostly 3-foliolate, uppermost on main and suppressed lateral branches sometimes 1-foliolate; leaflets 5–10 × 1–3 mm, obcuneiform to oblanceolate, appressed puberulous beneath; petiole 2–6 mm long; stipules 0.
Racemes short, few-flowered, most of the flowers solitary or clustered in axils all along the branches; bracts 1 mm long, linear to shortly linear-lanceolate.
Calyx 3–4 mm long, appressed puberulous; upper lobes narrowly attenuate-triangular, 2–3 times as long as the tube.
Bushy annual 35–80 cm tall; branches slender, appressed puberulous.
Pod sessile, 3–4 mm across, subglobose, puberulous, 1–2-seeded.
