Characteristics

Leaves all well spread, 3-foliolate; leaflets 8–12 × 7–11 mm, broadly obovate or obcordate, thinly appressed puberulous beneath; petiole c. 8–12 mm long; stipules 1–2 mm long, subulate.

Standard narrowly elliptic-obovate, yellow, glabrous; wings a little shorter than the keel; keel 4.5–5 mm long, angular, with a narrow twisted beak.
Flowers 2 at the top of a slender leaf-opposed peduncle 0.8–2 cm long; bracts 1–1.5 mm long, linear; bracteoles on the pedicel, minute.
Calyx 2.5–3 mm long, puberulous; upper lobes rather broadly triangular, acuminate, a little longer than the tube.
Pod subsessile, globose, 4 mm across, minutely puberulous, 2–4-seeded.
Prostrate annual with slender thinly puberulous stems to 60 cm long.
