Standard obovate-circular, yellow lined reddish; wings ± as long as the keel; keel (4)5–7 mm long, angular, with a narrow twisted beak slightly incurved at the tip.
Leaves mostly 3-foliolate, uppermost generally 1-foliolate; leaflets 5–18 × 1–3.5 mm, linear-oblanceolate, obtuse to truncate; petiole 0.5–2(4) mm long; stipules 0.
Generally a slender erect branching annual 30–90 cm tall, but sometimes a tufted suffrutex, glabrous.
Calyx 3.5–4 mm long; upper lobes narrowly triangular-acuminate, 1.5–2 times as long as the tube.
Pod with a stipe up to 1 mm long, (3)5–6 × 3–3.5 mm, ovoid-globose, 2-seeded.
Seeds 2.5 mm across, rounded cordiform, smooth, with a small aril.
