Characteristics

Racemes 12–30 cm long, laxly many-flowered, sometimes with short flowering branches and flowers clustered in the axils below; bracts leaf-like, 3–7 mm long, lanceolate-caudate; pedicel 7–11 mm long, bearing small bracteoles.

Standard elliptic, yellow with brown lines and a few hairs outside near the apex; wings a little shorter than the keel; keel 10–11 mm long, angular, with a long narrow twisted beak hooked inwards at the tip.
Leaves mostly 3-foliolate, upper ones 1-foliolate; leaflets 15–45 × 2–12 mm, linear to narrowly elliptic, pointed and apiculate, thinly appressed puberulous beneath; petiole 0.5–2.5 cm long; stipules 0.
Calyx 4–5 mm long, glabrous except for the lobe margins; upper lobes narrowly triangular, 2.5–3 times as long as the tube.
Erect annual 40–70 cm tall, developing a number of ascending branches from near the base, appressed pubescent.
Pod sessile, 5 × 4 mm, ovoid-globose, glabrous, 2-seeded.
