Leaves closely arranged, subsessile, 3-foliolate; leaflets mostly 7–15 × 1–3 mm, linear to narrowly oblong-elliptic, with conspicuous recurved apiculum and inrolled margins, thinly hairy; stipules 1–1.5 mm long, subulate-triangular.

Standard subcircular or oblate, yellow, sometimes tinged reddish, pubescent at least medially and apically outside; wings exceeding the keel; keel strongly rounded, crested behind the short beak, 8–9 mm long.
Calyx 7–10 mm long, rather densely and coarsely pubescent; lobes attenuate-triangular, up to twice as long as the tube.
Flowers solitary or in pairs; bracts 2–3 mm long, linear; bracteoles inserted on the pedicel, small.
Pod 2–2.4 cm long, subsessile, oblong-fusiform, densely pubescent, 8–12-seeded.
Shrubby or suffrutescent, up to 90 cm tall; branches densely spreading hairy.
