Racemes lax, up to 8–20 cm. long, many-flowered, often with a few other flowers clustered in the axils below; bracts shortly linear-lanceolate, ± 0·5–1·5 mm. long; bracteoles absent.. Calyx 3–4 mm. long, with the tube protracted on the lower side, appressed puberulous with hairs generally dark-coloured at the base; upper lobes narrowly attenuate-triangular, much longer than the tube.. Standard elliptic-obovate, pale yellow with 2 reddish marks at the base inside and reddish veined outside, puberulous apically outside; wings shorter than the keel; keel bent at right-angles in the lower third, with a narrow twisted beak, slightly incurved at the tip, 4–5 mm. long.. Pod sessile, subglobose-ovoid, 3–4 mm. long, appressed puberulous, 2-seeded.. Seeds orbicular-cordiform, ± 2 mm. long, with a small aril, smooth, brown or purplish tinged.
