Perennial herb, with an erect laxly branched stem, ±40-80 cm tall; branches silvery tomentellous, tardily glabrescent. Leaves rather shortly petiolate, 3-foliolate; leaflets elliptic or obovate, 3-6 x 1.5-3 cm, densely sericeous pubescent beneath. Stipules linear or subulate-caudate, 4-6 mm long. Racemes of generally numerous flowers closely arranged on the upper part; bracts shortly lanceolate-caudate, 2-3 mm long, spreading or deflexed; bracteoles inserted at the base of the calyx, obliquely elliptic-oblong, 1.5-3 mm long; buds mostly spreading or reflexed. Calyx 4-5 mm long, appressed pubescent; lobes narrowly triangular-acuminate, a little shorter than the tube. Standard broadly elliptic or sub-circular, yellow, glabrous or practically so outside; wings as long as keel or a little shorter; keel rather shallowly rounded, with a pointed projecting beak, 1-1.3 cm long. Legume shortly stipitate, asymmetrically oblong-clavate, 2.5-3 cm long, rather densely appressed pubescent, ±16-20-seeded. Seeds broadly cordiform, ±3 mm across, smooth, brown.
