Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets oblanceolate to obovate-oblong, ± 5–12 mm. long, 2·5–4 mm. wide, mostly rounded at the apex, glabrous above, finely appressed pubescent beneath; petiole ± 3–5 mm. long.. Stipules absent.. Racemes shortly pedunculate heads up to 1·5–4 cm. long, densely many-flowered; bracts linear, 1·5–2·5 mm. long; bracteoles inserted on the pedicel, filiform, small.. Calyx 3–3·5 mm. long, with the tube slightly protracted on the lower side, tomentose; upper lobes shortly oblong, abruptly contracted into an excentric apiculate tip, ± as long as the tube.. Standard obovate-orbicular, yellow, marked red, puberulous apically outside; wings shorter than the keel; keel bent at right-angles in the lower third, with a narrow slightly incurved twisted beak, 7–8 mm. long.. Pod sessile, ellipsoid, 6–7 mm. long, 4 mm. across, appressed pubescent, 6–8-seeded.. Seeds broadly oblique-cordiform, 1·5–2 mm. across, smooth, brown or purplish.
