Leaves 1-foliolate; leaflets mostly linear-lanceolate to lanceolate, up to 45–70 mm. long and 4–10(–15) mm. wide, or the lowermost sometimes shorter and elliptic, glabrous above, thinly appressed pubescent beneath; petiole up to 4–8(–11) mm. long.. Stipules filiform, 0·5–1·5 mm. long.. Racemes long and slenderly pedunculate, up to 9–24 cm. long, with ± 4–8 very laxly arranged flowers; bracts subulate-filiform, 1–2·5 mm. long; bracteoles inserted at the base of the calyx, filiform, 0·5–2 mm. long.. Calyx 3–4 mm. long, thinly appressed puberulous; lobes narrowly attenuate-triangular, usually a little longer than the tube.. Standard suborbicular, clear yellow, veined reddish-brown or purple and glabrous outside; wings obovate-oblong, longer than the keel; keel abruptly rounded below the middle, with a blunt or acute incurved beak, 4·5–6·5 mm. long, pale greenish-yellow, rarely with dark veins..
