Characteristics

Shrub, height unknown. Indumentum uncoloured. Branchlets with scattered stellate trichomes, glabrescent. Stipules lanceolate, 0.3–1 mm long, entire. Leaf lamina ovate, 15–55 mm long, 5–25 mm wide; base truncate; margins crenate with 15–20 [inconsistent with key to spp. step 9:-editor] teeth; tip acute; venation palminerved with 3–5 lateral veins from base and 5 or 6 lateral veins per side of midrib further up lamina, tertiary reticulate veins poorly developed; lower surface pale green, venation weakly developed, with scattered to sparse stellate hairs; extrafloral nectaries 1 or 2 at lamina base, subulate and c. 0.6 mm long, visible above only. Male flowers: pedicels 1–1.5 mm long; sepals lanceolate-ovate, 1.8–2 mm long; petals oblanceolate, c. 1.6 mm long; stamens 12. Styles 3, multifid, divided twice. Fruit not seen.
