Characteristics

Prostrate to semi-erect herb to 20 cm high. Indumentum ferruginous-silver. Stems with dense stellate trichomes. Stipules linear-subulate, 5–7 mm long, multifid. Leaf lamina ovate to suborbicular, 8–65 mm long, 8–40 mm wide; base cuneate to rounded; margins entire; tip acute to rounded; venation palminerved with 3–5 lateral veins from base, tertiary reticulate veins obscure; lower surface silver, venation obscure, with dense stellate trichomes; extrafloral nectaries absent. Male flowers: pedicels 1.8–4 mm long; sepals obovate, 2–2.5 mm long; petals absent; stamens 5–7. Styles 1, entire. Fruit unlobed, oblong, 4–6 mm long, 3–3.5 mm diam., with dense sessile stellate trichomes.
