Characteristics

Herbaceous, stem ascending or erect, longitudinally ribbed, dotted with small brown glands: stip. lanc. ± 3 mm. l.; petiole 2-2.5 cm. l., ribbed, glab., gland-dotted; petiolule of terminal lft. ± 0.5 cm. l.; lateral lfts. sessile; lfts. obovate to oblong-obovate, crenate-dentate, glab. and dotted with black glands on both sides, finely reticulate above, the midrib prominent beneath; lateral nerves about 4 pairs, not prominent; apex rounded; base cuneate; terminal lft. 18-23 x 10-15 mm.: fls. subsessile in axillary spikes; peduncles much exceeding the lvs., 4-6.5 cm. l.; spikes 2-5 cm. l., laxly-fld. below: fls. 6-8 mm. l.: cal. subglab. dotted with black glands; lowest tooth ± 3 mm. l.; cor. pale: pod not seen.
